Agreement

By using UptimeSignal ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms occasionally—continued use means you accept any changes.

What We Provide

UptimeSignal is a website and API monitoring service. We check your endpoints at regular intervals and notify you when they go down or come back up. That's the core promise. We do our best to provide reliable monitoring, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime ourselves—no service can.

Your Account

You're responsible for:

  • Providing a valid email address
  • Keeping your account secure (don't share magic links)
  • Only monitoring endpoints you're authorized to monitor
  • Using the service in compliance with applicable laws

Acceptable Use

Don't use UptimeSignal to:

  • Monitor endpoints you don't own or have permission to monitor
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks or load testing
  • Probe for security vulnerabilities in third-party systems
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Resell the service without our permission

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

Payments and Refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard—your Pro features remain active until the end of your billing period.

We don't offer refunds for partial months, but if something's genuinely wrong, reach out and we'll work with you.

Service Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee it. The Service is provided "as is." We may have planned maintenance, unexpected outages, or need to make changes. We'll try to communicate significant disruptions, but we're not liable for any downtime or its consequences.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UptimeSignal and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $50, whichever is greater.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your data. We retain ownership of the Service, including our code, design, and brand. Don't copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our software.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

Disputes

If we have a disagreement, let's try to resolve it informally first. Email us and we'll work it out. These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any formal disputes will be handled in the courts of the EU.
